Carnegie Hall Musical Connections at
Sing Sing Correctional Facility

In Carnegie’s program at Sing Sing, incarcerated men study a variety of instruments and comose new music for and interact with top musicians from New York’s jazz and classical music scene to play at in-house concerts. I was the lead Teaching Artist 2010 – 2014, designing and facilitating the program over the course of 90 workshop sessions and some 20 concerts with artists including Slavic Soul Party, Falu, Take 6, DeCoda, Toomai String Quintet, Sospiro Wind Quintet, James Shipp and Nos Novos, and Chris Washburne’s SYOTOS.
